The new year welcomes new and improved makeup trends! 2021 makeup is all about less is more! Emphasising on minimalism and highlighting natural colours and features. Which also means you don’t have to be an expert to achieve these looks, just focus on what we already have!
- No face lift, just a stripe of concealer, blush and contour!
Learn how to lift your face giving it a youthful look in minutes by just using these simple steps.

We are leaving the great triangle theory! By placing your concealer on the high points of the face it makes an illusion of your face being lifted than the triangle method which points down, making the face drag down. Now this is certainly a great way to not run out of concealer too!

- Blush
I think it’s a no-brainer that blush has become the most popular step in makeup in the last two years! I don’t know how I used to skip this step!! Blush can really change up your whole look but it all depends on how you apply. As we established before, placing your blusher on the higher points of your face, from your temples to the high point of your cheekbones gives you a face lift look, placing it in the apple of your cheeks offers you a fuller look and below the cheekbone gives you a more of an elongated face look! Now applying blusher to your nose not only gives a flushed sunkissed look but I believe also helps your nose contour to give it a snatched look… It really is a win!

- Replace your mattes for balmy lip tint or lip gloss!
Put down your bold pigmented matte lipsticks and opt for a sheer tinted lip gloss, giving you a more moisturising high-shine finish, with no more tackiness … yes you heard right! lip glosses are back with better than ever formula and it’s here to stay. You have the option of choosing between sheer to pigmented shade too!
Applying a thin layer of gloss after your lipstick for a slight sheen will give you a balmy lipped look.

- Half cut lashes
Falsies are the perfect method to accentuate your natural beauty while staying in style with the natural look. Long wispy lashes enhance the eyes for a defined face. By cutting your lashes in half and applying it to the end will give your lashes more volume and length and naturally highlights an elongated cat eye look giving your eyes more depth.
- No Eyeliner no problem
For a softer look, ditch the liquid eyeliner in favour of a brown or any colour of your choice eyeshadow. A thin angled brush and a pigmented eyeshadow are all you need. It’s also a fantastic choice if you want to rock a bright liner.

Lets not forget how kohl smoky liner is making a sneaky comeback!
